The Moondyne Festival is a festival held in Toodyay, Western Australia, celebrating the life and times of Moondyne Joe. It is held annually on the first Sunday in May. This festival takes place in the main street, Stirling Terrace, with street theatre, market stalls, and demonstrations.

Fibre Festival

The Toodyay Fibre Festival (TFF) is an event celebrating all Natural Fibre incorporating Animal, Earth, and Plant. Preserving tradition, craft techniques and artisanship and expanding boundaries through new skills and ideas…including recycled. The TFF is a colourful, interactive festival held in the rural, historic town of Toodyay. Part of the main street is closed to allow the free movement of visitors enjoying the Fibre Festival related stalls, working artisans, exhibitions, demonstrations and fun, hands on activities. Come along and have a great day out.

Avon Descent
1st Saturday & Sunday of August

The Avon Descent is an annual, two-day, white water event along the Avon and Swan Rivers in Western Australia. It includes both paddle craft and small motor boats, and runs from Northam via Toodyay to Cobblers Pool on Saturday, then Cobblers Pool to the Perth suburb of Bayswater on Sunday.

www.toodyay.comTeams will construct a boat made from recycled products that is (hopefully) capable of completing the course.  Awards for most spirited Team, most creative design & first across the finish line afloat.

Peter and Amanda from Avalon Homestead from took out 3rd place in 2017 at the inaugural event and then came 2nd in 2018!!
